Karnataka Women and Child Welfare minister Shashikala Jolle has assured state support for children orphaned due to parents' death by Covid.&nbsp; Spending time with 19 orphaned children through video conference in Bengaluru today, the minister said that it is the responsibility of the state to provide solace to such children. She informed that the state has launched Bala Seva programme for the Covid related orphaned children. She said a public campaign will be launched in the state to create awareness on the Bala Seva programme.<br />''&nbsp;&nbsp;<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Under this scheme, such orphaned children will be paid 3500 monthly allowance. The children below the age of 10 will get free education in a residential school and girl child will get one lakh rupees financial assistance. The minister has assured that the cash benefits will be deposited in the bank accounts directly avoiding middlemen.</span><br />
