Karnataka Revenue Minister R. Ashoka has said that the illegal houses constructed in rural and urban areas prior to 1st January 2015 will be regularised under the Karnataka Land Revenue Act of 1964. He has informed that the last date to receive application for regularisation was extended from March 2019 to March 2022. He added that the record of rights will be distributed by March 2023 to the applicants, if their documents are found correct. This scheme is only applicable to the low income families living in small houses on government lands across the state.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The Minister informed that the Revenue Department has also decided to regularise cultivation on government land by landless and marginal farmers under Karnataka Land Revenue Act. Those traditionally cultivating on such government lands prior to 1st January 2005 will be given the rights. The Revenue Minister said that they have received 8,57,640 applications for regularisation, of which, 3,74,087 applications have been uploaded to the network and remaining 4,83,640 applications will be uploaded by next month end.</span><br />
