Karnataka reported 746 new Covid-19 positive cases, 765 recoveries and three deaths during the last 24 hours.&nbsp; At present 8,887 active Covid patients are undergoing treatment in various hospitals in the State. Meanwhile the process for the distribution of Covid vaccine to all the districts has started in the State.&nbsp; Belagavi in North Karnataka received 1.47 lakh doses of covid vaccine yesterday.&nbsp;<br />''&nbsp;<br />''AIR correspondent reports Karnataka is fully prepared to inaugurate the vaccination drive on January 16th.&nbsp; Speaking to media in Bengaluru yesterday, the State Health Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar said that apart from Covi-Shield Vaccine received till yesterday, another 20,000 doses of Covaxin will be arriving in the State very soon.&nbsp; The only difference between Covaxin vial and Covi-shield vial is Covi-shield has 5 ml of vaccine in a vial and Covaxin has 10 ml of vaccine in a vial. Both the vaccines are same and used for vaccination in the State.&nbsp;<br />''&nbsp;<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The Minister further said that Central government has issued clear guidelines on distribution protocol to be followed in the districts and deputing trained staff for carrying out the vaccination.
