Karnataka reports 5503 new Covid cases

<span style="color: #222222;">Karnataka has recorded 5503 new Covid cases today. The virus also caused 92 deaths.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The total Covid positive cases reach one lakh 12 thousand 504 out of which 67448 are active.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">There were 2397 Covid patients who were discharged today after recovery taking the total discharged figures to 42,901. There are 639 patients in ICU.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The state conducted 32,990 Covid tests today consisting of both RT PCR tests and rapid antigen tests.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The caseload remains high in Bengaluru urban district with 2270 new Covid cases and 30 deaths reported today.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The district also saw 1118 persons being discharged after recovery of the infection. </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile the Health and Family Welfare minister B Sriramulu met Asha workers who are on strike in Bengaluru.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Responding to their demand to increase the remuneration to 12000 rupees, the minister said that he will consult the Chief Minister on the demands of the Asha workers.</span><br />''
