Karnataka reports 1502 new COVID- 19 cases today

<span style="color: #222222;">Karnataka reported 1502 new Covid 19 cases today, which is one of the highest surge in a single day. Among the new cases, 889 are from Bengaluru, 90 from Dakshina Kannada, 68 from  Mysuru, 65 from Ballari and  47 from Dharwad district. The total number of affected people in the state has reached 18,016. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The state has 9406 active cases while 8334 people have been discharged after recovery. 271 patients were discharged from various hospitals after recovery during the last twenty four hours. 19 Corona deaths were reported during the period taking the Corona deathtoll to 272.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Medical Education minister Dr. K Sudhakar has informed that the work is in progress to streamline the process of allocating beds to covid patients and new set of guidelines should be ready for release by tomorrow, Addressing media persons after holding meeting with senior officials in Bengaluru today, he said, work is in progress to streamline the process of allocating beds to Covid patients. He further said that the state has established 79 Covid testing labs in just three months which can test 15000 samples per day. He added that the Government has conducted survey of about 1.5 lakh households to detect vulnerable persons.</span><br />''
