<span style="color: #222222;">In Karnataka, out of 4,30,947 total COVID cases reported so far, 3,22,454 people recovered from the infection and were discharged from hospitals. The recovery rate in the state has improved to 74.8 per cent. As on yesterday, the COVID case doubling rate stood at 27 days. The state case positivity rate is 12.2 per cent. Out of 6,937 COVID related deaths in the state, 3,660 were aged above 60 years, 1,885 were between the age group of 51 and 60 and 1,036 were aged between 41 to 50 years. The case fatality rate stands at 1.6 per cent. The deaths per million population is 112.9 as of yesterday.<br />''<br />''Of one lakh one thousand five hundred thirty seven active cases in the state, Bengaluru Urban holds the highest number of 43,656 &nbsp;cases followed by Mysuru with 6,816 and Ballari with 4,466 active cases. Over 90 per cent of the active cases are asymptomatic. The state conducted 35,86,150 COVID tests in the state, out of which 11,37,027 were conducted in Bengaluru. The city has a total of 19,680 active containment zones with high density of positive cases, with RR Nagar having largest 4,689 containment zones followed by South Bengaluru with 2,960 zones and West Bengaluru having 2,881 containment zones.</span><br />
