Karnataka Pradesh Congress President D K Shivakumar has tested positive for Covid 19 and was admitted to a private hospital in Bengaluru. In another development the Medical Education Minister Dr. K Sudhakar has called a meeting of officials from Bengaluru South zone where the number of positive cases has shown a steep surge in the recent days.<br />''<br />''In Karnataka out of 2,83,665 Covid 19 positive cases reported till date, 1,97,625 have recovered, thereby recording a recovery rate of 69.7 percent.&nbsp; Out of &nbsp;30 districts, &nbsp;there are 19 districts which have a recovery rate of above 70 percent.<br />''<br />''Out of total positive cases in the state 85.9 percent are asymptomatic and 14.1 percent are symptomatic. The state has recorded 4810 deaths, recording a case fatality rate of 1.7 percent. The average compounded daily growth rate of Covid 19 positive cases since the last five days is 2.6 percent and the time taken to double the caseload &nbsp;is 21 days. The state has conducted 40,140 Covid tests per million population.<br />''<br />''The Covid 19 war room has introduced one more feature in the contact tracing mobile app. The members of the public can now upload any information about the primary and secondary contacts of the infected persons. This will help speed up contact tracing in the state.&nbsp;<br />
