The Karnataka police have stepped up vigil in sensitive areas with intensified patroling. TA Forum of IT and allied sectors came together today to express their solidarity with people from North East region. They have extended their support for them and requested them to return to Bangalore soon. The presence of people of North East in Bangalore City and Yeshwantpur railway station has trickled down. Railway sources said they have no plans to run any special trains today also. Meanwhile, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and minister for Home R. Ashoka met the Nagaland Minister for Power, Doshe Y Sema today. Mr. Sema expressed satisfaction over the security arrangements and action taken on rumour mongers. Mr.Ashoka said that there is sustained effort by the Government to infuse confidence in the people. Arunachal Pradesh Lok Sabha member Takam Sanjoy, who met Mr.Ashoka yesterday had urged the State Government to provide land to construct Arunachal Bhavan in Bangalore. He also asked the Government to provide free food and lodging to the people of North East, especially students, studying in various colleges in Karnataka.
