Karnataka Police officials reaching Meghalaya

Top Karnataka Police officials are reaching Meghalaya on Thursday to take custody of the two LeT operatives arrested by BSF near Indo-Bangladesh border on Wednesday. Meghalaya State Police have said that the two militants had confessed their involvement in the 2005 Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc) Bangalore attack. The state police produced these militants in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Shillong and pleaded for their judicial custody but it was not accepted. The BSF in a press statement said that the suspected LeT militants are well educated and were trying to escape into India to evade police arrest in Bangladesh.
