<span style="color: #222222;">A Mega Vaccination Drive is organised in Karnataka today to mark the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A target is set to vaccinate 30 lakh eligible population today. Inaugurating the drive, the Health Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar said that the vaccination drive is launched as a mark of respect towards the Prime Minister who has taken important steps in improving the Health infrastructure in the country since the outbreak of the pandemic. Important decision was taken to open 152 medical colleges in the country and the number of PG and MBBS seats were augmented in the last few years. The Ayushman Bharat programme was launched to provide quality health care to the poor under which over two crore persons have benefitted till now. Dr. Sudhakar said that the state has set a record of vaccinating 12 lakh persons earlier and now aiming at achieving vaccination to 30 lakh persons. He said, the poor and downtrodden will be vaccinated today on priority basis.</span><br />
