The Opposition continued its dharna on the floor of the House in Karnataka on the fourth consecutive day today demanding CBI enquiry into illegal mining in the state. Undeterred, the Government tabled and passed several Bills in both the Houses even when the Opposition continued its dharna on the well of the House. After the Bills were passed by voice vote from the ruling majority, the Speaker adjourned the House till tomorrow. <br/><br/>In the Council three Bills on Cow slaughter, Private University and Panchayat Raj were passed amidst protests from the Opposition. Speaking to the media persons after the adjournment, JD(S) floor leader in the Council Nannaiah informed that the Private University Bill which was with the Joint House Committee was withdrawn and passed in a hurry. He said this amounts to breach of privilege and they will approach the Governor against this.
