In Karnataka, the Food and Civil Supplies Minister Hartal Halappa has tendered his resignation after a charge of rape was levelled against him. Speaking to newspersons in Bangalore Halappa however refuted the charges and termed them as politically motivated. He said he is resigning on moral grounds, till the allegation levelled against him is cleared.<br/>
