Karnataka Mines and Geology Minister Murugesh Nirani announces new Sand policy

<span style="color: #222222;">Karnataka Mines and Geology Minister Murugesh Nirani has announced a new Sand policy to ensure hassle free supply of sand to the common man. Speaking to the media persons in Bengaluru today, he said, the new sand provisions to be introduced soon will benefit Ashraya and other housing schemes of the Government. A single window agency will clear extraction of sand from 183 sand blocks in the state. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">A Committee headed by District Deputy Commissioners will issue licenses and a single window agency will ensure speedy clearances with coordination among forest, environment, revenue and home departments. Mining Adalat started in the four revenue divisions and the coastal region will deal with dispute redressal. He said that the Government aims to double the revenue collection in the next financial year as compared to Rs 3750 crore during 2020-21. The minister also said that a mines university will be set up in the state on the lines of National Mines University at Dhanbad in Jharkhand.</span><br />''  <br />
