<span style="color: #222222;">Medical Education Minister in Karnataka Dr. K Sudhakar addressed a booth level task force committee meeting in Bangalore today. He called upon the committee members to visit each and every house in their booth and collect information about family members who are above 60, who have BP, Diabetes, cold and cough.<br />'' <br />'' This information, the Minister said, will help the enforcing authorities to preempt possibilities of virus inflicting the vulnerable. The Minister also visited areas in the city where antigen tests are being carried out. He said antigen tests show results within 15 minutes and helps tracking and tracing vulnerable people. Meanwhile the city wore a deserted look today due to Sunday lockdown.<br />'' <br />'' AIR correspondent reports, due to a spike in Covid cases the Government had introduced lockdown only on Sundays, restricting public movement. But now after consulting the experts, the Chief Minister had announced yesterday that Bengaluru urban and rural districts will be completely locked down from Tuesday night for a week till July 22.  Excluding essential services all other activities will be stopped during this period.<br />'' <br />'' Chief Minister B.S.Yediyurappa is scheduled to hold a video conference with the Deputy Commissioners, Chief Executive Officers of Zilla Panchayats and Police Superintendents of all the districts at 11 am tomorrow to review the covid situation.<br />'' <br />'' As on yesterday, the covid cases are doubling in seven days in Bengaluru rural and 37 days in urban district. The state average of doubling cases is nine days as against the national average of 21 days. There are 68,608 persons in Active quarantine in Bengaluru urban and 689 persons in rural district. </span><br />
