Karnataka Lokayukta Santhosh Hegde advocated complete ban on export of iron ore from the country. Speaking on the sidelines of a programme in Bangalore today, Lokayukta said mining does not earn enough royalty to the Government, spoils the environment and road. Hence, it is better to use it within the country for value addition. On Joint Committee to draft Jan Lokpal Bill, he said, the civil society representatives will participate in the meeting on 15th this month.
