<span style="color: #222222;">Karnataka Legislative Assembly maintained a minute long silence as a mark of respect to Group Captain Varun Singh who succumbed yesterday morning to the injuries sustained in the helicopter accident on December 8th. The sole survivor of the crash, Group Captain Singh was undergoing treatment in the Commando hospital in Bengaluru. The mortal remains of the brave warrior were shifted to Airforce station in Bengaluru for paying the last respects before being flown to Bhopal. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has said that Group Captain Varun had sustained 80 percent burns in the accident. He was provided best medical treatment, but it is sad that he has breathed his last. Speaking to media persons in Belagavi today, he said that mother India has lost a brave soldier.</span><br />
