Karnataka: Health dept comes forward to list out vaccination centres for physically challenged

In Karnataka, the state Health department has come forward to list out vaccination centres where the physically challenged could be vaccinated. The move follows an order by the Karnataka High Court.  Such centres will provide vaccination immediately without making the disabled persons to wait in a queue. These centres will have wheelchairs, disabled friendly toilets and ramps.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The beneficiaries of such centres are requested to register and fix a date and time of vaccination. Rotary, Lions, Red Cross and many other NGOs have come forward to provide transport to the physically challenged persons registered for the vaccination. The Health department notice says that initially those above the age of 45 years will be vaccinated followed by those persons with disability who are between the age of 18 and 44 years.</span><br />
