Karnataka HC to pronounce its verdict today in disqualification of 11 BJP MLAs by Assembly Speaker

The third judge of the Karnataka High Court will pronounce his verdict today on the disqualification of 11 rebel BJP MLAs by Assembly Speaker. Justice V G Sabhahit will decide whether the disqualification of these MLAs by the Speaker K G Boppaiah under Anti-defection Law was legal or not. The hearing of the crucial case by Justice V G Sabhahit as the third Judge was necessitated after a Division Bench comprising of Chief Justice J S Khehar and Justice N Kumar delivered a split verdict in this case earlier. The rebel BJP MLAs moved to the Karnataka High Court following their disqualification by the Assembly Speaker under Anti-defection Law after they withdrew their support to Yeddyurappa government in the state.
