Karnataka HC rejects Jayalalithaa's bail plea

Karnataka High Court has rejected the bail plea of AIADMK Chief J. Jayalalitha. She has been in jail since 27th of last month and had sought bail on health ground.

The Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister has been sentenced for four years in a disproportionate assets case.

In Tamil Nadu, the unconfirmed report by the media that AIADMK supremo Ms. Jayalalitha was granted bail created a wave of celebration including the Poes Garden.

The party cadres broke into a mood of celebration across the state. But it was short lived and disappointing for all even as the real news started trickling down that bail was denied.

The situation in Chennai is by and large normal for nowMeanwhile, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Mr.O.Pannerselvam has appealed to the public to maintain calm and not to violate law and order.
