The Karnataka High Court has granted bail in three cases to the main accused in the multi-crore fake stamp paper racket, Abdul Karim Telgi, who is lodged in the Parappana Agrahara jail in Bangalore. After conclusion of arguments by the Special Public Prosecutor and the petitioner's counsel, Justice V Jagannathan granted bail in three cases out of the eight in which he was involved in Karnataka. Of the eight, he has already been acquitted in four. Earlier, Telgi's counsel Shankarappa submitted that the petitioner was suffering from terminal ailments and had been ailing for a long time.
