Former State Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and his wife Anitha Kumaraswamy were granted anticipatory bail in Karnataka High Court today. Justice L Narayanaswamy of the High Court allowed both the petitions seeking bail in renewal of mining lease case and allotment of land to a housing society case filed in the Lokayuktha court. A private complaint was lodged against Kumaraswamy in Lokayuktha court that during his Chief Ministership, he allegedly renewed the lease of a mining company floating norms and allocated land in Bangalore to a Housing society in return for a site to his wife.
