Former Chief Minister of Karnataka B S Yeddyurappa has applied for bail in the Lokayuktha court on Monday in the land denotification case. In the morning Karnataka High Court had rejected his application for anticipatory bail in the same case. In the presence of Yeddyurappa in the court, Lokayuktha Special Judge Sudhindra Rao adjourned the case to September 7 after accepting the bail application of Yeddyurappa and 14 others accused in the land denotification case. After getting the Governor’s sanction, a private complaint was filed by Sirajin Basha in the Lokayuktha court, where it is alleged that Yeddyurappa Government denotified land belonging to Bangalore Development Authority to benefit his Sons, Son-in-law and others. In another development, the anticipatory bail application filed by Yeddyurappa in the Upper Bhadra irrigation project tender related case was adjourned to September 5 after preliminary submission in the Karnataka High Court.
