The hearing of the plea by 11 BJP rebel MLAs by the third Judge of the Karnataka High Court has been adjourned for Thursday. The third judge Justice V.D. Sabhahid on Wednesday heard submission made by lawyers representing the eleven rebel BJP MLAs and the submission continued till the evening. The main argument made out by the lawyers was that no where have the BJP MLAs mentioned in their letter to the Governor that they are withdrawing their membership from the BJP party. The lawyers also argued that their dissent against Chief Minister B.S. Yedyurappa was the ground on which they submitted their letter of withdrawal against Yedyurappa's leadership. Hence they submitted that this does not come under the provisions of anti-defection law.
