Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai told media persons in Tumkuru today that the state has written to the Central Government to release additional grants for input subsidy. He informed that the letter is written to the Secretary, Disaster Management seeking additional grants to compensate the farmers affected by unseasonal rains that has caused huge crop losses in the state. The Central Government is requested to send their inter-ministerial team immediately to assess the extent of crop loss. Mr. Bommai said that the state has already begun a crop loss survey which is being uploaded into the Parihara mobile app.<br />''
