Karnataka govt to impose weekend curfew from today amid surging covid cases

<span style="color: #222222;">Due to the exponential rise in Covid 19 cases the Karnataka State Government will impose weekend curfew across the state from today. Restrictions are introduced from 10.00 pm tonight to 5.00 am on Monday. Only those working for essential services will be allowed to use public transport after displaying their IDs.<br />''<br />''The Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation operating metro train services has said that the trains will run from 8.00 am to 9.00 pm with a frequency of 20 minutes.<br />''<br />''The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation that offers inter-district and inter-state bus services will also reduce its services on Saturday and Sunday.<br />''<br />''The passengers must carry an RT PCR negative report and double dose vaccination certificate to avail the services. Those arriving to the airport, railway station and bus stand during the curfew can avail taxi, auto and bus services but have to produce tickets and Covid related documents on arrival and during transit.</span><br />
