<span style="color: #222222;">Karnataka state Government has decided to allow industries located outside COVID-19 containment zones to open from May 4. Addressing media persons in Bengaluru today after the cabinet meeting, Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa said that based on the guidelines issued by the Central Government, industries will be allowed to function in the state. The Chief Minister later in the day met Industry bodies to seek feedback on the possibility of starting the industries. He informed the industry representatives that industries have already opened in the green zones where the workers are asked to wear mask and ensure social distancing. Mr. Yediyurappa also announced a 30 lakh rupees life cover for the front line warriors. <br />''<br />''AIR correspondent reports the Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry has asked the Chief Minister to provide interest free loan, share 25 percent of labour cost during the lock-down period and allow easy payment of taxes and power bill. In the cabinet today, it was decided to issue inter-district passes to the industrialists to travel to their place of work. It was also decided to allow one-time inter-state or inter-district movement of people and labourers stranded due to COVID-19 lockdown. Meanwhile the Novel Corona Virus evening bulletin says that 30 new COVID-19 positive cases were confirmed today. Leaving out 21 deaths and 229 discharges, there are 314 active cases and out of which nine are in ICU. The doubling rate in the state is 21.6 days. </span><br />
