Karnataka government has taken up with the Centre the issue of reduction in its quota of kerosene. <br/><br/>Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa has written to Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Murli Deora, that the State is in power deficit. Hence the need of kerosene is greater in the rural areas.<br/>
