<span style="color: #222222;">Bangaluru  Urban district in Karnataka has the most number of 20623 Covid positive cases. Around 79 percent of them are Asymptomatic. To meet the growing demand for beds for treating asymptomatic patients, the government has started 8 Covid Care Centres in Bengaluru with 2624 beds. However the government has requested private hospitals and other institutions to join hands with the government in providing space for covid care centres to keep Asymptomatic patients. </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Responding to this request by the government,  Hindustan Aeronautical Limited 'HAL' in Bengaluru has converted its Ghatage Convention Centre in to  covid care centre in just 16 days. Owing to the shortage of beds for asymptomatic patients in Bengaluru, HAL  established a Covid Care Centre in just16 days and handed it over to the Bengaluru Municipal Corporation.  The sprawling Ghatage Convention Centre is converted into 160 bed Covid Care Centre with supporting infrastructure like toilets, bathrooms and other safety features.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">A memorandum of understanding was signed between HAL  and BBMP yesterday according to which the arrangements for doctors and paramedical staff and running of the facility would be taken care by BBMP. It has identified over 600 beds to be utilized as quarantine facility at its seven locations at Lucknow, Kanpur, Korwa, Hydrabad, Nasik, Koraput and Bengaluru.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In addition to this HAL has produced 300 aerosol boxes for hospitals in various States like Karnataka, Telengana, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Uttarpradesh, Rajasthan, Maharastra and Gujarat. HAL has also distributed personal protective equipment, thousands of masks besides supporting migrant laborers by providing them food and shelter. As part of its fight against Covid -19 pandemic HAL has already contributed Rs.26.25 crore to the PM-CARES Fund. </span><br />
