Karnataka govt issues order directing private hospitals not to deny or avoid treatment to patients with COVID-19 like symptoms

<span style="color: #222222;">The Karnataka government has issued an order, directing private hospitals not to deny or avoid treatment to patients with corona virus and COVID-19 like symptoms. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">They have been asked to strictly adhere to the provisions of Karnataka Private Medical Establishment Act of 2017. They have been cautioned that non-compliance of the order will invite punishment under the relevant sections of the Disaster Management Act of 2005. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In another order, the State government has set up two task forces under senior IAS officers for supervising treatment of COVID-19 patients in private medical colleges and hospitals. The Committee under them will also monitor the availability of beds in these medical establishments. </span><br />''
