<span style="color: #222222;">The Karnataka state government has issued a notification today imposing penalties on business establishments not following COVID-19 norms under Karnataka Epidemic Diseases Ordinance. The owners of the establishments have to cough up penalties if the customers and clients visiting their premises do not wear masks and maintain social distancing. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The notification says that air conditioned party halls, departmental stores, branded shops and shopping malls will be imposed a penalty of Rs 10,000, non air conditioned establishments Rs 5,000 and three star hotels, marriage halls or convention centres have to pay Rs 10,000 for the violations of COVID infection regulations.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, the hotel owners' association members in Bengaluru met Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike Commissioner N Manjunath Prasad today and submitted a memorandum.
