The Government of Karnataka has constituted a two member committee of Doctors to recommend procedures and guidelines for clinical trials on humans. Speaking to media persons in Bangalore on Wednesday, the Medical Education Minister S A Ramadass informed that the Committee will stipulate norms for medicine manufacturers to conduct clinical trials on humans in the state. He further added that the Committee will submit its report in two months based on which the Chief Minister and legal experts will decide on the provisions of the Clinical Trial Act.
