<span style="color: #222222;">The Inter-ministerial team led by Union Home Minister Joint Secretary Ashish Kumar was briefed today by the Karnataka State Government on the rain damage caused during July and August. <br />''<br />''The Central team was informed by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai that the State Government has prepared a memorandum on rain damage estimate meticulously and transparently and has sought fair compensation as per the Central Guidelines.<br />''<br />'' He suggested to the team members also visit Kodagu, Dakshina Kannada and Uttara Kannada districts apart from Chitradurga, Hassan, Chickmagalur, Haveri, Dharwad, Gadag, Bidar and Kalaburgi districts. <br />''<br />''He pointed out that massive landslides, sea erosion and other damages were caused by the monsoon rains in these three districts. <br />''<br />''He further added that Bengaluru city, Mandya and Ramangara districts are reeling under natural calamity due to copious rainfall this month. Mr. Bommai said that continuous rainfall for one week has caused severe damage in Bengaluru and neighboring districts and a proposal seeking compensation under NDRF will be prepared and sent immediately.</span><br />
