Karnataka Governor TC Gehlot launches voters' awareness rally in Bengaluru

Karnataka Governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot launched the voters' awareness rally in Bengaluru on Thursday. The State is going to the polls in the next two months. The rally propagated the importance of electoral franchises and the need to improve voter turnout in Bengaluru.<br />''<br />'' Physically challenged transgenders participated in the rally. Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said that it is the bounden duty of all eligible voters to participate in the electoral process and exercise their franchise.<br />''<br />'' Being the biggest democracy in the world, India has provided voting rights to everyone beyond the age of 18. They all should bear the responsibility of electing the Government of their choice. The Governor further said that the Election Commission is making every effort to ensure that no voter is deprived of his right to vote. <br />''<br />''Several facilities are being provided for the convenience of physically challenged voters. The Deputy Election Commissioner Ajay Bhadoo, the State Chief Electoral Officer Manoj Kumar Meena, BBMP Chief Commissioner Tushar Girinath, Bengaluru city Zilla Panchayat CEO Sangappa and others were present during the occasion.<br />
