Karnataka Global Investors Meet concludes

On the concluding day of Global Investors Meet organized by Government of Karnataka, Chief Minister announced that 353 MOUs worth four lakh crores were signed in two days. The projects when materialized will provide employment to 8.65 lakh people. The Chief Minister described it as a landmark event that demonstrates investors faith in Karnataka. Apart from this, he added, proposals for 56 new projects worth Rs.78,395 crores was received during the meet which will be considered by the High Level Committee this month itself. To ensure that the approved projects materialize in a time bound manner, a committee headed by the Chief Secretary will monitor the progress every month and Chief Minister will review it every quarterly. The Chief Minister also said a Cabinet Sub-Committee headed by him will examine provisions for extending additional incentives to the approved projects based on quantum of investment. In the two day event, 5000 delegates from USA, UK, Canada, Germany, China, Japan, Saudi Arabia and other countries participated in the mega show. <br/>
