Farmers in Karnataka have taken to social media to reach their produce to the consumers. In an interesting development today Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa ordered the Chitradurga District Deputy Commissioner to procure onion, after a farming woman's video went viral seeking help from the Government. The Chief Minister called up Vasantha today and assured her of solving her problem.<br />'' <br />''Many farmers are tweeting about their farm produce. Responding to their tweets, number of organisations came forward to purchase the farm produce from them.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The agriculture and horticulture departments in the state have started an Agri war room with helpline for farmers in distress. So far twenty six thousand six hundred 32 calls are received on the helpline since March 31st.</span><br />
