<span style="color: #222222;">Prime Minister Narendra Modi held his third election campaign in Bailhongal in Belagavi district today to seek support for BJP candidates &nbsp;for the Assembly election in Karnataka. He sought support for a double engine government in Centre and State for making Karnataka number one state.<br />''<br />''He alleged that Congress &nbsp;has never delivered on its guarantees. He pointed out that in 2009, the Congress had promised to connect all the gram panchayats with broadband in three years. But what it could achieve was not even 100 gram panchayats. He &nbsp;said, &nbsp;the BJP &nbsp;has connected over two lakh gram panchayats by broadband. Digital India programme has made seamless transfer of benefits. Giving another example, he said in 2004 the Congress Government had promised electrification of all the villages but even in 2014 there were 2.5 crore households without electricity.<br />''<br />''He also said that the Congress had promised to blend five percent ethanol with fuel but could achieve only three percent. He said his Government has already achieved five percent blending and has set a target to blend 20 percent ethanol. He informed that 70,000 crore worth of ethanol was bought by the Government benefitting the sugarcane farmers.<br />''<br />''He pointed out that the BJP Government in Centre and State ensured better rail, road and air connectivity. He accused Congress and JD(S) of following short cut governance, that he alleged divides society for vote, follows appeasement politics and cuts short development.</span><br />
