<span style="color: #222222;">In Karnataka, the Primary and Secondary Education department has come out with a unique idea to start a You Tube channel that can invoke in children a passion for learning and creative activities during the lockdown period. This comes at a time when Television, mobile and video games have become a distraction for children under lock-down.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The parents are concerned about their children lack of academic and creative activities. The step has been taken to keep children productively engaged during the period. The Department has invited academicians, start-ups, software engineers and social service organisations to prepare innovative, entertaining, interesting learning audio-visual videos of 10 to 15 minutes and send them to it.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">An Editorial board will select the appropriate ones and put them on the You-tube platform. AIR correspondent reports that the department wants to put out four or five such videos for an hour every day for the next 50 days. There is no restriction that these videos have to conform to the school syllabus.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">It has said that the videos could be narration of stories, book reading, puzzles, magic, origami or any such subject that evoke the interest of children and engage them in activities. Though there is no payment for the videos contributed, the department has promised that such efforts will be acknowledged by the department. </span><br />''  <br />
