Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister R Ashoka will visit Assam today on a Goodwill Mission to appeal the people of North-East to return to their places of work. Official sources said Ashoka will meet Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and discuss the issue with him.

The Karnataka Deputy CM, who will be accompanied by senior officials, will also visit Manipur in this regard.

Meanwhile, curfew has been relaxed in Kokrajhar district of Assam between 4 am and 9 pm today. Security forces are maintaining strict vigil and Army continued flag march in the area.
