Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister Dr. C N Ashwathnarayan has said that technology has helped prevent middlemen in reaching Government benefits to the common man. He was speaking at a virtual meet with international partners on the proposed Bengaluru Tech Summit to be held in November. The minister pointed out that technology has made it possible for the Central and State Government to reach out to the distressed during the current pandemic.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The financial assistance, he noted, was deposited directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. Dr. Ashwathnarayan said that Karnataka has a GDP of 220 billion dollars and technology can make it possible to achieve 500 billion dollar GDP. The state, he added, has responded to the clarion call given by the Prime Minister to bridge the digital divide.</span><br />
