Karnataka: COVID-19 recovery rate improves to 65.14 pct

In Karnataka, a total of 2,40,948 covid patients were cured and discharged from various hospitals till now. 8,387 patients were discharged from the hospitals during the last 24 hours.<br />''<br />''Recovery rate in the state has increased to 65.14 percent. A record number of 139 covid patients lost their life and the total number of death toll has gone up to 4,201 and the mortality rate stands at 1.74 percent.  <br />''<br />''AIR correspondent reports, a total number of 7,665 new covid  cases  were recorded in the State during the last 24 hours and the total number of cases  have increased to 2,40,949. Among the new cases Bengaluru city reported the highest number of 2,242 followed by Ballary with 673, Udupi 421 and Belagavi with 395 cases.  <br />''<br />''In all 79,782 active patients are taking treatment in various hospitals in the State. So far 21,34,174 tests were carried out  in the State of which a record number of 59,088 tests were conducted  yesterday.  <br />''<br />''Meanwhile, the Chamrajnagar Loksabha MP Srinivas Prasad is tested Covid positive and admitted to hospital. Karnataka  Medical Education Minister Dr.K.Sudhakar visited the Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences hospital in Bengaluru yesterday and reviewed the infrastructure and treatment facilities for Covid-19 patients.   He directed officials  to ensure adequate supply of liquid oxygen to all hospitals in the State. <br />
