<span style="color: #222222;">Going by the surge in Corona positive cases in Bengaluru since last week, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has sought 4500 beds from private hospitals and medical colleges. In a meeting with the heads of private medical establishments in Bengaluru today, the Chief Minister said the Government needs 6500 beds to meet the growing demands for beds in the city to treat covid 19 patients. He informed that 2000 beds will be made available in Government medical colleges and the private sector should contribute 4500 beds. But the 11 private medical establishments in the city have pledged 2200 beds only. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Chief Minister sought cooperation of the private health sector for deputing Doctors at COVID Care Centres where asymptomatic patients are kept. He also asked for personnel to manage the tele-medicine platform. He assured that the doctors and para medical staff working in private establishments will be covered under life insurance cover. According to the health bulletin released yesterday evening, Bengaluru urban district has 4052 active covid cases, with highest single day surge figures reported since the last few days within the state.</span><br />
