Karnataka Chief Minister, B S Yeddyurappa has virtually rejected the opposition demand for removal of two of his cabinet colleagues allegedly involved in the mining scam. <br/><br/>He was talking to reporters in New Delhi, after meetings with Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and Home Minister P. Chidambaram. <br/><br/>Yeddyurappa also rejected the demand for handing over the illegal mining case to CBI saying the Lok Ayukta in the state is empowered to enquire into it.<br/><br/>The Chief Minister said such a step could be considered if charges are proved. He said there are no charges against any of his ministers. <br/><br/>During his meeting with the Prime Minister, Yeddyurappa, who also submitted a memorandum to him, demanded a ban on the iron ore exports.<br/><br/>He urged the Prime Minister to convene a meeting of the Chief Ministers to discuss the mining issues.<br/><br/>On his meeting with the Home Minister, he said he discussed the issues of illegal mining, resignation of Lokayukta Santosh Hegde and its subsequent withdrawal, law and order situation and the current Belgaum row. <br/><br/>The Chief Minister, accompanied by some of his cabinet colleagues also met senior BJP leaders in the capital.
