<span style="color: #222222;">Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa laid a wreath at the war memorial in Bengaluru today to pay homage to the martyrs to mark Kargil Vijay Diwas. Speaking on the occasion, he said the true deeds of valour of our war heroes inspire the younger generation. </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He expressed gratitude towards soldiers who exhibited courage and bravery to guard our borders and laid down their life for the motherland.  He remembered 16 brave sons from Karnataka who were among the 527 soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the Kargil war.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Chief Minister assured that his Government will do everything possible for the welfare of ex-servicemen and families of those who gained martyrdom.</span><br />
