Karnataka CM orders investigation into ISRO firing incident

Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa has ordered an investigation into the firing incident at ISRO's high security Deep Space Network facility at Byalalu on the outskirts of Bangalore city. Declining to reply whether it was a terror attack, he said, everything is under investigation and one cannot jump to any conclusion at this stage. <br/><br/>He said that a report on the incident would be sent to the Centre, as sought by Union Home Minister P Chidambaram. According to CISF constable Jadhav who was manning the main gate , two men wearing khaki dress were standing suspiciously some distance from the main gate. When questioned, one of them fired at him. <br/><br/>This prompted him to fire eight rounds in retaliation. After an exchange of fire, the duo had fled from the spot, he said. <br/><br/>The ADGP Law and Order A R Infant said there were no eyewitnesses to the incident other than Jadhav and that they have not found any bullet marks or empty cartridges that is said to be fired by the unidentified men. He however added that a thorough investigation is on.
