Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has instructed senior officers in the state to ensure procurement of agriculture crops, make arrangements to transport them to other states and country and give priority to supply of drinking water. The Chief Minister gave these instructions during a meeting of senior officers in Bengaluru today. He asked the officers to convey to farmers the message that fertilisers will be sold at subsidised rates and irrigation canals will provide water to their crops. The Chief Minister asked the public transport corporation KSRTC to use the buses for goods transport and provide them to private sector on contract basis to earn revenue. He has asked the education department to conduct online classes for students during the lock-down period. He agreed during the meeting that Doctors working day and night on contract basis to contain the pandemic will be paid higher amount and a decision on this will be taken soon.<br />''<br />''<br />
