Karnataka CM hands over 751 motor cycles to Anti-Human Trafficking Squad in Bengaluru

<span style="color: #222222;">In Karnataka, Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa handed over 751 motor cycles to the Anti-Human Trafficking Squad in Bengaluru today.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The bykes were procured under Central assistance from Nirbhaya Fund.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister informed that a sum of seven crore rupees wass given to the state from Nirbhaya Fund to set up Women Help Desks in 700 Police Stations of the state.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Under the Smart City Programme also, the state has received assistance for ensuring safety of women in cities.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The fund has also helped put up safety devices in the city transport buses, buy patrolling vehicles meant for securing the women in distress and also helpline is operated for them.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mentioning that safety of women is of top priority of his government, the Chief Minister said that sensitization workshops for police personnel on gender issues are taken up regularly in the state.</span><br />
