Karnataka CM faces dissidents, Floor test on 11th October

The fate of Government hangs in balance in Karnataka as dissidents still remain diffident. Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa met GovernorHans Raj Bharadwaj yesterday evening and requested him to convene the Assembly session on October 11 to prove his Government’s majority.Earlier in the day, the Governor had received letters signed by 14 BJP and 5 independent MLAs, withdrawing their support to the Government.Meanwhile the united Opposition comprising Congress and JD(S) has submitted a letter of no confidence motion against the Speaker of theHouse to the Secretary yesterday. AIR correspondent reports that in another development the rebel group suffered a set back when two BJPlegislators B P Harish and Doddanna Gowda G Patil met Governor and reinstated their support to this Government.
