Karnataka CM expands cabinet, 21 new ministers inducted

In Karnataka, 21 new ministers have been inducted into D.V. Sadanand Gowda cabinet. Governor H.R. Bharadwaj administered the oath of office and secrecy in a simple function held at Raj Bhavan this evening.All the news ministers were members of erstwhile cabinet. Prominent among them were Jagadish Shettar, V.S. Acharya, R. Ashoka, C.M. Udasi, Shobha Karandlaje, Basavaraj Bommai, S.Suresh Kumar.Karunakara Reddy and Janardhana Reddy, who were also indicted in the Lokayukta report on illegal mining and their close associate from mines rich Bellary district B Sreeramulu, failed to return to the ministry. The three were ministers in BJP’s first government in the South headed by Yeddyurappa.
