Karnataka Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa will release an order to the State Police Department to begin the process of appointing Scene of Crime Police Officers meant to scientifically collect sensitive evidence at the crime scene. The State Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai informed that such an appointment is being done for the first time in the country.&nbsp;<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The officer so appointed, will be trained in using advanced scientific and forensic methods to gather evidence at the scene of crime. The Scene of Crime Police Officer will be responsible to gather all relevant traces and evidence and safeguard them till they are documented properly. A Government Order will be issued tomorrow to appoint 206 Scene of Crime Police Officers in the state.</span><br />
