Karnataka Chief Minister convenes a meeting to assess latest COVID-19 situation

<span style="color: #222222;">Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has convened a meeting with health minister Dr. K Sudhakar, and other senior officials and health experts this evening to assess the latest Covid-19 situation in Karnataka, and decide on fresh measures to curb the infection's spread. He has appealed to citizens to comply with Covid 19 protocols if they do not want another lock down. The state reported 934 new Covid 19 cases, 609 recoveries and three deaths yesterday. The total active cases have gone up to 8364, out of which 125 are in ICUs. The positivity rate recorded yesterday was 1.27 percent and case fatality rate of 0.32 percent. Bangalore Urban district continues to report a high number of positive cases with 628 testing positive yesterday. The state has made RT PCR negative report mandatory for travellers from Maharashtra and Kerala.</span><br />
